The International Court of Justice,
composed asbove,

after deliberation,
having regard to Art48lof the Statute of the Court and to
Articl37 of the Rules of Court,

Makes the followingOrder:

Having regard to the Or18rJune1959fixin19October1959
as the time-limit for the filing of the Counter-Mernorial of the
Government of the Lebanese Republic;
4 Considérantque, par lettre du g octobre1959, reçue le12 octobre,
le ministre du Liban aux Pays-Bas, depuis lors désignécomme

agent de son Gouvernement en l'espèce,a, au nom de son Gouver-
nement, demandé que ce délaifût prorogé jusqu'au 31 décembre
1959;
Considérant que, le 12 octobre 1959, la lettre du ministre du
Liban àLondres a étéportéeàla connaissancedel'agent du Gouver-
nement français, lequel a étéinvité à faire connaître les vues de
son Gouvernement sur la demande ainsi présentée au nom du
Gouvernement libanais ;

Considérant que, le mêmejour, l'agent du Gouvernement fran-
çais a déclaré queson Gouvernement n'avait pas d'objection à
cette prorogation;

décide dereporter au 29 décembre 1959 la date d'expiration du

délai fixé pour le dépôt du contre-mémoire du Gouvernement
libanais.
Fait en français et en anglais, le texte français faisant foi, au
Palais de la Paix, à La Haye, le quinze octobre mil neuf cent
cinquante-neuf, en trois exemplaires, dont l'un restera déposéaux
archives de la Cour et dont les autres seront transmis respective-
ment au Gouvernement de la République française et au Gouver-

nement de la République du Liban.

Whereas by a letter datgdOctober1959 received on12October,
the Minister of Lebanon to the Netherlands and since appointed
Agent for his Government in the present case, has, on behalf of
his Government, requested that this time-limit be extended to
31 December 1959;

Whereas, on 12 October1959 the Agent for the French Govern-
ment was informed of the letter from the Minister of Lebanon at
London and was requested to make known the views of his Govern-
ment on the request thus presented on behalf of the Lebanese
Government ;
Whereas, on the same day, the Agent for the French Govern-
ment stated that his Government had no objection tothis extension;

decides to extend to29 December 1959 the time-limit for the
filing of the Counter-Memorial of the Lebanese Government.

Done in French and in English, the French text being authori-
tative, at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this fifteenth day of Octo-
ber, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine, in three copies, one
of which will be placed in the archives of the Court and the others
transmitted to the Government of the French Republic and to
the Government of the Republic of Lebanon, respectively.
