(REQUEST FOR ADVISORY OPINION)

ORDER

The President of the International Court of Justice,
Having regard to Article 66, paragraph 2, of the Statute of the Court
and to Articles 37 and 82 of the Rules of Court,

Having regard to the Order of 5 August 1970fixing 23 September 1970
as the time-limit within which written statements may be submitted in
accordance with Article 66, paragraph 2, of the Statute of the Court;
Whereas, by a letter dated 19 August 1970 handed to the Registrar
on 24 August 1970, the Secretary for Foreign Affairs of South Africa,
for the reasons therein set out, requested the extension to 31January 1971
of the time-limit for the submissîon of a written statement;

Extends to 19 November 1970 the time-limît within which written
statements may be submitted in accordance with Article 66, paragraph 2,
of the Statute of the Court;

et 82 du Règlement de la Cour,
Vu l'ordonnance du 5 août 1970 fixant au 23 septembre 1970 la date
d'expiration du délaidans lequel des exposésécritspeuvent êtreprésentés
conformément àl'article 66, paragraphe 2, du Statut de la Cour;

Considérant que, par lettre du 19 août 1970 remise au Greffier le
24 août 1970, le secrétaireaux Affaires étrangèresde l'Afrique du Sud a,
pour les raisons par lui indiquées,demandéle report au 31 janvier 1971
de la date d'expiration du délaipour la :présentation d'un exposé écrit;

Reporte au 19novembre 1970la date d'expiration du délaidans lequel
des exposés écrits peuvent êtreprésentésconformémentà l'article 66,
paragraphe 2, du Statut de la Cour;
