L Bio information
My name is Savo Strbac. I was born in 1949, in v. Rastevié near Benkovac, Croatia.
Till 4 August 1995 I lived in a socially-owned flat in Benkovac. From thenon, I have
resided in Belgrade, as a refugee. I am married and a father of two. I am a Serb as to my
ethnie background. I have citizenship of both Croatia and Serbia.
I eamed a BA degree in law at the University of Zagreb Law Faculty in 1972, and
passed my bar exam there, four years la ter.

Witness Statement
1. My name is Mile Sovilj. I was born in the village of Kijani, municipality of Gracac,
Croatia. During the operation Storm I lived in the town of Gracac because I worked at Radio
Television Knin from 1991; I covered events from the Lika region and so, by living in Gracac, I
could travel distances much easier to get to my workplace. I remember that I was in Gracac also
on the night of 3 to 4 August 1995 when Operation St01m began and that a shell fell in the town
centre, near my place, around 5 AM.

STATEMENT
1. My name is Ilija Babic. 1 was born in the village ofMokro Polje, municipality ofKnin, and
1 am a Serb as to my ethnicity. My family lived there for generations, and my father and
grandfather lived, died and were buried at Mokro Polje.
2. 1 have two sons and a daughter. I lived and worked in this village since I was born. So, 1
was there in 1995, tao, just before the launching of the operation "Storm". I had a family
house at Mokro Polje, and in the center of the village we had a shop run by my younger son

STATEMENT
1. My name is Jela Ugarkovic. I was born in the village of Komic, municipality of Titova
Korenica, Croatia. 1 now live in Denmark. I Ieft my family home in 1974 when I started
working in Zagreb, first at Unitas concern factory and later on at the ·company Rade Koncar,
as a financial officer. I was employed there until March 1991 when I was, along with
thousands of other people, laid off. At the outbreak of the conflict, in 1990-1991, there was a
growing tension between Serbs and Croats. I was the victim of certain provocations by Croats
