ORDER

The President of the International Court of Justice,

Having regard to Article 48 of the Statute of the Court, and to
Articles44 and 45,paragraph 1,of the Rules of Court,

Havingregard to the Application bythe Republic ofFinland filed inthe
Registry of the Court on 17May 1991,instituting proceedings against the
Kingdom of Denmark in respect of a dispute concerning passage through
the Great Belt(Storebælt),
Having regard to theOrder of 29July 1991by which the Court adjudi-
cated upon arequest for the indication of provisional measurespresented
by Finland on 23 May 1991,in which Order the Court declared interalia
that "it is clearly in the interest of both Parties that their respective rights
and obligations be determined definitively as early as possible", andthat
"it is appropriate that the Courtwith the CO-operationof the Parties,
ensure that the decision on the meritsbe reached with al1possible expedi-

tion";
Whereas at a meetingbetween the President and the Agents of the Par-
ties held on 29 July 1991,the Parties agreed on the time-limits set out
below,

Le Présidentde la Cour internationale de Justice,
Vu l'article 48du Statut de la Cour et lesarticles 44 et 45,paragraphe 1,
de son Règlement,

Vu la requêtedéposéeau Greffe de la Cour le 17mai 1991,par laquelle
la Républiquede Finlande a introduit une instance contre le Royaume du
Danemark au sujet d'un différend concernant le passage par le Grand-
Belt (Storebælt),
Vu l'ordonnance 'du29juillet 1991par laquelle la Cour s'estprononcée
sur la demandeen indication de mesures conservatoires présentéepar la
Finlande le 23 mai 1991,et dans laquelle la Cour a déclaré notamment

qu'«il estanifestelment dans l'intértesdeux Parties de voirdéfinitive-
ment déterminés leursdroits et obligations respectifs aussitôt que pos-
sible» etqu'«il convient que la Cour, avec la coopération des Parties,
veille a parveniàune décisionsur le fonddans les meilleurs déla»;

Considérant que, au cours d'une réunionque le Président atenue avec
les agents des Parties le 29 juillet 1991,les Parties sont convenues des
délaisindiqués ci-di:ssous,

Fixecomme suit les dates d'expiration des délais pour le dépôt des
piècesde la procédure écrite: 30 December 1991for the Memorial ofthe Republic of Finland;

1June 1992fortheCounter-Memorialofthe KingdomofDenmark;and
Reservesthe subsequent procedure for further decision.

of the Republic ofFinland and the Govemment of the Kingdom of Den-
mark, respectively.
