Fixing of time-limits for the filing of the initial written pleadings

THE HAGUE, 2 June2008. The International Court of Justice (ICJ), principal judicial

organ of the United Nations, has fixed the time-lim its for the filing of initial written pleadings in
the case concerning Aerial Herbicide Spraying (Ecuador v. Colombia).

By an Order of 30 May 2008, the Court fixed 29 April 2009 as the time-limit for the filing of
a Memorial by Ecuador and 29 March 2010 as the time-limit for the filing of a Counter-Memorial
by Colombia.

The Court adopted the Order taking into account the views of the Parties. The subsequent
procedure has been reserved for further decision.
