Solemn declaration by the judges ad hoc
The Court will hold a public sitting on Tuesday 16 October 2001 at 12.30 p.m.
THE HAGUE, 10 October 2001. The International Court of Justice (ICJ) will hold a short
public sitting in the case concerning Armed Activitie s on the Territory of the Congo (Democratic
Republic of the Congo v. Uganda) on Tuesday 16 October 2001 at 12.30 p.m.
During the sitting, Mr.J. Verhoeven (Belgium), the judge ad chosen by the Democratic
Republic of the Congo, and Mr. J. L. Kateka (Tanzania), the judge ad hocchosen by the Republic of
Uganda, will make the solemn declaration provided forin Article 20 of the Statute of the Court.
