Fixing of time-limits for the filing of written pleadings
THE HAGUE, 19 November 2004. The Internationa l Court of Justice (ICJ) has fixed, by an
Order of today, the time-limits for the filingthe first written pleadings in the case concerning
Maritime Delimitation in the Black Sea (Romania v. Ukraine), which was submitted to it on
16 September last.
In its Order the Court fixed 19August2005 as the time-limit for the filing of Romania’s
Memorial and 19 May 2006 as the time-limit for the filing of Ukraine’s Counter-Memorial.
The Court made the Order taking account of th e views of the Parties. The subsequent
procedure has been reserved for further decision.
