After deliberation,
Having regard to Article 48 ofthe Statute of the Court, and to Arti-
cles1,44,46 and 92ofthe Rules of Court,

Having regard to the Special Agreement concluded on 24 May 1986
between the Republic of El Salvador and the Republic of Honduras for
the submissionto a chamber of the Court of a land, island and maritime
frontierdispute betweenthe two States,
Having regard to theer of 8 May 1987bywhichthe Court decided
to accede to the request of the Parties to form a special five
judges to deal with the case, and declared such a chamber to have been
dulyconstituted, withthe compositionindicated in the MakesthefollowingOrder.

Whereas by Article 3, paragraph 1 (a),of the Special Agreement, ac-
cording to the two translations thereof into the officia1languages of the
Court referred to in therder of 8May 1987,the Parties request that the
writtenproceedings consistof,inthe firstinstance,a Memorial to befiled
by each ofthe Partiesno laterthan ten monthsafterthe notification ofthe
SpecialAgreement; and whereasthe SpecialAgreement provides for fur-
therpleadingstobe filedbyeachParty, and indicatestime-limitstherefor;

Whereas by ajoint letter signed on behalf ofthe two Parties and dated
11December 1986,bywhichthe Partiestransmitted to the Registraracer-
tified copy of the Special Agreement,the Parties requested a postpone-
ment of the time-limitfor the filing of the first pleading; and whereas by
further communications received on 26 May 1987the Parties informed
the Court that they had agreed to request that that time-limitbe fixed at
1June 1988,and indicated the dates on which they had agreed for the
filingof subsequentpleadings;

Havingconsultedthe Chamber pursuant to Article 92,paragraph 1, of
the Rules of Court,

Fixes 1June 1988asthe time-limitforthefilingbyeachofthe Parties of

a Memorial;
And reservesthe subsequentprocedure for further decision.

Done in English and in French,the Englishtext being authoritative,at
the Peace Palace,The Hague,this twenty-seventhday of May, one thou-
sand nine hundred and eighty-seven,inthree copies,one ofwhichwillbe
placed inthe archivesofthe Court,and the otherstransmitted to theGov-

deux traductions qui en existentdans leslangues officiellesde la Cour et
qui sont mentionnéesdans l'ordonnance du 8 mai 1987,les Parties de-
mandent quela procédure écriteconsiste,enpremierlieu,enun mémoire
présentépar chacune des Parties au plus tard dix mois après la notifica-
tion du compromis; et considérant que le compromis prévoit ledépôt
d'autres piècesde procédurepar chaque Partie etindique desdélaisà cet

effet;
Considérant que,dansune lettreconjointe signéeaunomdesdeuxPar-
ties et datéedu 11décembre1986,par laquelle celles-ciont transmis au
Greffier une copie certifiée conformedu compromis, les Parties ont de-
mandéque la date limitepour le dépôtdela premièrepiècede procédure
soitreportée;etconsidérantque,dans d'autres communications,reçuesle
26mai 1987,lesParties ont informélaCour qu'ellesétaientconvenuesde
demander quecettedate limitesoitfixéeau lerjuin 1988etontindiquéles
dates sur lesquelles elles s'étaient accorsour le dépôtdes piècesde
procédureultérieures;
Après avoir consultéla Chambre conformément à l'article 92, para-
graphe 1,du Règlementde la Cour,

Fixe au lerjuin 1988la date d'expiration du délaipour le dépôtd'un
mémoirepar chacune des Parties;

Réservela suite de la procédure.

Fait en anglaiset en français, letexte anglaisfaisant foi, au palais de la
Paix,à La Haye, levingt-septmai milneuf centquatre-vingt-sept,entrois
exemplaires,dont l'un resteradéposé auxarchivedsela Cour etlesautres
