ORDER

The President of the International Court of Justice,

Having regard to Article of the Statute of the Court and to Article
40 of the Rules of Court,
Having regard to therder of 13July 1973by whichthe Court (inter
alia) fixed 1 October 1973 as the time-limit for the Memorial of the
Government of Pakistan and15December 1973as the time-limit for the
Counter-Memorial of the Government of India on the question of the
jurisdiction of the Court to entertain the dispute,

Whereas, by aletter dated 24 September 1973,receivedin the Registry
the same day, the Agent of Pakistan, for the reasons therein set out,
requested the extension of the time-limit for the filing ofthe Memorial to

15December 1973 ;
Whereas a copy of the said letter was immediately transmitted to the
Government of India, which was invited to communicate its viewsto the
Court notlater than 28 September 19;3
Whereas no observations have been receivedfrom the Government of
India;

Extends to 15 December 1973 the time-limit for the filing of the
Memorial of the Government of Pakistan;
Extends to 17 May 1974the time-limit for the filing of the Counter-

Le Présidentde laCour internationale de Justice,
Vu l'article 48 du Statut de la Cour et l'article 40 du Règlementde la
Cour,

Vu l'ordonnance du 13juillet 1973par laquelle la Cour a notamment
fixéau 1" octobre 1973la date d'expiration du délaipour le dépôtdu
mémoiredu Gouvernement pakistanais et au 15décembre1973 cellede
l'expiration du délaipour le dépôtdu contre-mémoiredu Gouvernement
indien sur la question de la compétencede la Cour pour connaître du
différend,
Considérant que,par lettre du4 septembre 1973,reçue au Greffe le
mêmejour, l'agent du Pakistan a, pour les raisons par lui exposées,
demandéque la date d'expiration du délaipour le dépôtdu mémoiresoit

reportéeau 15décembre1973 ;
Considérantque copie de cette communication a été transmiseimmé-
diatement au Gouvernement indien, qui a invité faire connaitre son
opinionà la Cour le 28 septembre 1973au plus tard;
Considérant qu'aucune observationn'a été reçuedu Gouvernement
indien;

Reporte au 15 décembre 1973 la date d'expiration du délaipour le
dépôtdu mémoiredu Gouvernement pakistanais;
Reporte au 17mai 1974la date d'expiration du délaipour le dépôtdu
