CASE CONCERNING

ORDER
The President of the International Court of Justice,
having regard to Article8 of the Statute of the Court and to
Article62 of the Rules of Court;
having regard to the Order of 7 August 1962 fixing 15 March
1963as the time-limit for the filing of the Counter-Memorial'of the
Spanish Government ;
Whereas, Mthin the time-limit so fixed, the Spanish Government
filed certaineliminary Objections and asked the Court to adjudge
and declare that it has no jurisdiction to entertain or decide the
claims advanced inthe Application and the Memorialofthe Belgian
Government, and that the Application is inadmissible;
Whereas, accordingly, by virtue of the provisions of Article 62,
are suspended and a time-limit has to be fixed for the presentation
4by the other Party of a written statement of its Observations and
Submissions on the Preliminary Objections;
Having ascertained the views of the Parties,
Fixes 15 August 1963 asthe time-limit within which the Belgian
Government may present a written statement of its Observations
and Submissions on the Objections raised by the Spanish
Government.
Done in French and in English, the French text being authori-
tative, at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this sixteenth day of March,
one thousand nine hundred and sixty-three, in three copies,one of
which will be placed in the archives of the Court and the others
transmitted to the Belgian Government and to the Spanish Govern-
ment, respectively.

ORDONNANCE
Le Président de la Cour internationale de Justice,
vu l'article du Statut de la Cour et l'arti62du Règlement
de la Cour;
vu l'ordonnance du7 août 1962 fixant au15 mars 1963le délai
pour le dépôt du contre-mémoire du Gouvernement espagnol;
Considérant que, dans le délai ainsi fixé, le Gouvernement espa-
gnol a déposécertaines exceptions préliminaires et priéla Cour de
dire et juger qu'elle est incompétente pour connaître ou décider des
demandes formuléespar la requêteet le mémoiredu Gouvernement
belge, et que la requêteest irrecevable;
Considérant qu'en conséquence, en vertu des dispositions de
l'articl62,paragraphe 3, du Règlement de la Cour, la procédure
sur le fond est suspendue et qu'il échet de fixerun délai dans lequel INTERNATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE

Fait en français et en anglais, le texte français faisant foi, au
Palais de la Paix,à La Haye, le seize mars mil neuf cent soixante-
trois, en trois exemplaires, dont l'un restera déposéaux archives de
la Cour et dont les autres seront transmis respectivement au Gou-
vernement belge et au Gouvernement espagnol.
