Considérant qu'à la date du 30 décembre1949 le Greffier, coiifor-
mément à 1:article 66, paragraphe 1, du Statut a notifiéla requête
à tous les Etats admis à ester en justice devant la Cour ;
Considérant que la question soumise par l'Assembléegénérale
pour avis consultatif mentionne le chapitre 12 de la Charte des
Nations Unies et que la notification spéciale et directe prévue au
paragraphe 3 de l'articl66 du Statut a étéadresséeaux gouverne-

ments des Etats signataires de cet instrument :
1) fixe au lundi 20 mars 1950 la date à laquelle expire le délai
dans lequel pourront être déposés,au nom tlttsdits Etats, les
exposés écrits relatifs à la question sur laqucllc a étédcmand6

l'avis de la Cour ;
2) réserve la suite de la procédure.

of Article66, paragraph 1,of the Statute, gave notice of the request
to al1 States entitled to appear before the Court ;
TVhcreasthe cluestiori submitted by the General Assembly for an
advisory opinion mentions Chapter 12 of the Charter of the United
Xations and the special and direct communication provided for in
Article GG,paragraph 2, of the Statute has been addressed to the
governments of the States signatory to that instrument :

(1)Appoints Monday, March zoth, 1950, as the date of expiry
of the time-linlit within which written statements relating to the
(luestion oii which the Court's opinion has been asked may be
lilcd by the aforesaid States;

(2) Reserves the rest of the procedure for further decision.

at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this thirtieth day of December,
