ORDER
The President of the International Court of Justice,
having regard to Article 48 of the Statute of the Court,
having regard to Article 37 of the Rules of Court,
having regard tothe Application dated May 26th, 1951, de~osited
and filed in the Registry on that day, whereby the Government of
the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, refer-
ring to the declarati~ns made by that Government and by the
Imperia1 Government of Iran accepting the Optional Clause pro-
~ided for in Article 36, paragraph2, of the Statute, instituted
proceedings before the Courtagainst the Iranian Empire in the
Anglu-Iranian Oil Company case,
having regard to therder made by the Court on July 5th, 1951,
fixing the time-limits for the filing of the Memorial and the Counter-
Memorial in that case, and reserving the rest'the procedure for
furtherdecision;
Whereas by letter dated August 16th, 1951, the Agent for the
Government of the United Kingdom requested an extension until
October ~oth, 1951, of the time-limit for the filing by that Govern-
ment of the Memorial fixed for Septemberrd, 1951;

to postpone to the following dates the time-limits fixed by the
Order of July 5th, 1951 :
for the Memorial of the Government of the United Kingdom,
to October ~oth, 1951 ;
for the Counter-Memorial of the Imperial Government of Iran,
to January ~oth, 1952.
And reserves the rest of the procedure for further decision.
Done in French and Englkh, the French text being authoritative,
at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this twenty-second day of August,
one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one, in three copies, one of
which will be placed in the archives of the Court and the others
transmitted to the Government of the United Kingdom of Great
Britain and Northern Ireland and to the Imperial Government of
Iran, respectively.

Le Président de la Cour internationale de Justice,
vu l'article du Statut de la Cour,
vu l'article 37 du Règlement de la Cour,
vu la requête, datée d26 mai 1951,déposéeet enregistrée au
Greffe le mêmejour, par laquelle le Gouvernement du Royaume-
Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande du Nord, se référant aux
déclarations d'acceptation par ce Gouvernement et par le Gouver-
nement impérial de l'Iran de la disposition facultative pràvue
l'article 36, paragrapz,du Statut,a introduit devant la Cour
contrel'Empire de l'Iran l'affaire de l'Anglo-Iranian Oil Company,
vu l'ordonnance rendue par la Cour l5juillet1951fixant les
délais pour le dépôt du Mémoire et du Contre-Mémoire en ladite
affaire, et réservant la suite de la procédure
Considérant que;par lettre 16 août 1951,l'Agent du Gouver-
nement du Royaume-Uni a sollicité la prorogation au octobre
1951 du délai pour le dépôt du Mémoirede ce Gouvernement, fixé

cinquante et un, en trois exemplaires, dont l'un restera déposéaux
archives de la Cour 'et dont les autres seront transmis respective-
ment au Gouvernement du Royaume-Uqi de Grande-Bretagne et
d'Irlande du Nord et au Gouvernement impérialde l'Iran.
