Letter of Nicaragua concerning the report of the experts

1 have the honour to refer to the case concerning Maritime Delimitation in the Caribbean Sea and
the Pacifie Ocean (Costa Rica v. Nicaragua) which has been joined with the case concerning the Land
Boundary in lhe Northern part of Isla Porti/los (Costa Rica v. Nicaragua), particularly to your lener
148492 transmitting the report prepared by the experts appointed by the Court, as wells as the meeting
ofthe Parties with the President on 16 May 2017 on which organizational issues were discussed.
In that regard, 1 would like to inform you that at this stage Nicaragua has no written observations
to the report prepared by the experts. However, should the need arise, Nicaragua reserves its right to
raise any comments during the Oral Proceedings in July.
Finally, Nicaragua wishes to indicate that, unless Costa Rica decides to exercise its right in this
respect, it does not foresee the need to examine the experts during the said proceedings.
