CASE CONCERNING

THE NORTHERN CAMEROONS

(CAMEROUN v. UNJTED KINGDOM)

ORDER

The President of the International Court of Justice,

having regard to Article48 of the Statute of the Court and to
Article 37 of the Rules of Court;
having regard to the Order of 27 November 1962, extending to
I March 1963the time-limit within which the Government of the
Federal Republic of Cameroun may present a yritten statement
of its observations andsubmissions on the preliminary objection
raised by the Government of the Unitedingdom of Great Britain
and Northern Ireland;
Whereas, by a letter dated 27 December 1962, the Agent of the
Government of the Federal Republic of Cameroun requested that
this time-limit be extended tI July 1963;

Whereas, by a letter dated 2 January 1963, the Agent of the
Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern
Ireland was informed of this request and asked to make known the
views of his Govemment on it ;
Whereas, by a letter dated 8 January 1963, the Agent of the
Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britainand Northern
Ireland stated that his Government had no objection to the exten-
sion requested,
4 Extends to IJuly 1963 the time-limit within which the Govern-
ment of the Federal Republic of Cameroun may present a written

statement of its observations and submissions on the prelimi-
nary objection raised by the Govemment of the United Kingdom
of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Done in French and in English, the French text being authorita-
tive, at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this eleventh day of January,
one thousand nine hundred and sixty-three, in three copies, one
of which wiU be placed in the archives of the Court and the
others transmitted to the Government of the Federal Republic
of Cameroun and to the Government of the United Kingdom of

Great Britain and Northern Ireland, respectively.

ORDONNANCE

Le Président de la Cour international de Justice,

vu l'article 48 du Statut de la Cour et l'article 37 du Règlement
de la Cour;
vu l'ordonnance du 27 novembre 1962, prorogeant au ~ermars
1963 la date d'expiration du délai pour la présentation par le
Gouvernement de la Républikuefédérale du Cameroun d'un exposé
écrit contenant ses observqtions et conclusions sur l'exception

préliminaire soulevéepar le Gouvernement du Royaume-Uni de
Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande du Nord ;
Considérant que, par lettre du 27 décembre 1962, l'agent du
Gouvernement de la République fédérale du Camerocin a demandé
que l'expiration de ce délai soitreportéeauerjuillet 1963;
Considérant que,par lettre du2 janvier 1963,l'agent du Gouver-
nement du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande du Nord
a étéinformé decette demande et invité à faire connaître les vues

de son Gouvernement àcet égard;
Considérant que, par lettre du 8 janvier 1963, l'agent du Gou-
vernement du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande du
Nord a fait savoir que son Gouvernement n'avait pas d'objection
à la prorogation demandée,
