The Court to deliver its Judgments on Wednesday 4 May 2011 at 3 p.m. and 4.30 p.m.,
respectively, on whether to grant the applications for permission to intervene

filed by Costa Rica and Honduras in the case

THE HAGUE, 15April 2011. On Wednesday 4May2011, the International Court of

Justice (ICJ), the principal judicial organ the United Nations, will deliver its Judgments on
whether to grant applications for permission to intervene filed by Costa Rica and Honduras in the
case concerning the Territorial and Maritime Dispute (Nicaragua v. Colombia).

Two public sittings will take place, at the Peace Palace in The Hague, the first, at 3p.m.,

during which the President of the Court, JudgeHisashi Owada, will read the Court’s Judgment
concerning the application filed by Costa Rica and the second, at 4.30p.m., during which
President Owada will read the Court’s Judgment concerning the application filed by Honduras.

N OTE TO THE PRESS AND PUBLIC

1. The public sittings will be held in the Grea t Hall of Justice of the Peace Palace. Mobile
telephones are permitted in the courtroom provided they are switched off. Any offending device
will be temporarily retained.

2. Media representatives are subject to an onliaccreditation procedure, details of which
can be found in the Media Advisory2011/h att ached to this Press Release. The accreditation
procedure will close at midnight on Monday 2 May 2011.

3. Individual visitors (with the exception of members of the Diplomatic Corps) and groups
are subject to an online admission procedure. They are kindly requested to fill out the relevant
form on the Court’s website (click on “Attending a Hearing”). The admission procedure will

text of the Judgments will be distributed. All of these documents will be made available at the
