Certain Criminal Proceedings in France (Republic of the Congo v. France)

Fixing of time-limits for the filing of additional pleadings

THE HAGUE, 23November 2009. The Internatio nal Court of Justice (ICJ), the principal
judicial organ of the United Nations, has fixed time -limits for the filing of additional pleadings in
the case concerning Certain Criminal Proceedings in France (Republic of the Congo v. France).

By an Order of 16November 2009, the C ourt fixed 16February2010 and 17May2010 as
the respective time-limits for the filing of an additional pleading by the Republic of Congo and by
France.

The Court, referring in particular to Arti101 of the Rules of Court, adopted this Order

taking account of the agreement of the Parties and of the exceptional circumstances of the case.

The subsequent procedure has been reserved for further decision.
