Land, Island and Maritime Frontier Dispute
(El ~alvador/~onduras)

The following information is communicated to the Press by the
Registry of the International Court of Justice:

On Friday 12 January 1990 the Replies of El Salvador and Honduras in
the above case were exchanged, within the time-limit as extended by the
Order made on 13 Decernber 1989 by the President of the Chamber dealing
with the case.

Both Parties had previously filed Memorials on 1 June 1988, and
Counter-Memorials on 10 February 1989.

The subsequent procedure is reserved for further decision.
