Registryof the International Courtof Justice:
As mentioned inPress Communiqu éo.8919 of 26 June 1989the
Presidentof the Court, by an orderof 14June,decided that the
UnitedNationsand the States which are Partiesto the Convention on the
Privileges and Immunitiesof the United Nationsare likelyto be able to
furnish informatio on the question submitte tdo theCourt(see
Article66, paragraph2, of theStatute)and, bearingin mind that the
requestwas expressedto be made "on a prioritybasis", fixed the
time-limits in the caseas follows:
- 31 July1989 for the submission of written statements;
- 31 August1989for subsequent writtencommentson thosestatements.
By 31 Julywrittenstatements have been fil bydCanada, the Federal
Republicof Germany, Romaniat ,he UnitedStatesof Americaand the
United Nations.
