The following information from the Registry of the International
Court of Justice is cornmunicated to the Press:
In the case of the Barcelona Traction Light and Power Company
Limited brought by Belgium against Spain, the Spanish Government has
requested the extension of the time-limit fixed for the filing of its
Counter-Memorial, which vas to expire on 18 February 1960. After
consulting the other Party, the President of the Court has decided
to extend this time-limit to 21 May 1960.
In the oase of the Temple of Preah Vihear brought by Canboàia
against Thailand, the President of the Court .has f ixed the follordng
the-limits for the filing of the first two pleadings:
20 January 1960 for the Memorial of Cambodia;
23 May 1960 for the Counte~Memorial of Thailand.
The subsequent procedure has been reserved for further decision.
