13. Reiterates the hope that, following a comprehensive
political solution, an intergovernmental committee will lte
established to consider a programme of assistance to Kampuchea
for the reconstruction of its economy and for the
economic and social development of ail States in the region;
14. Requests the Secretary-General to report to the General
Assembly at its thirty-eighth session on the implementation
of the present resolution;

I. Introduction
1. Sea-level rise has become in recent years a subject of increasing importance for a
significant part of the international community — more than 70 States are or are likely to be
directly affected by sea-level rise, a group which represents more than one third of the States
