Members of the Delegation of Senegal during the reading of the Court's Judgment in the case concerning Questions relating to the Obligation to Prosecute or Extradite (Belgium v. Senegal). This session took place, exceptionally, in the Japanese Room of the Peace Palace. The ICJ's role is to settle, in accordance with international law, legal disputes submitted to it by States (its Judgments are final and binding) and to give advisory opinions on legal questions referred to it by authorized UN organs and agencies.
