Composed as above,

Having regard to Article 48 of the Statute of the Court and to
Articles 31, 44, 45, paragraph 1, and 48 of the Rules of Court,
Having regard to the Application filed in the Registry of the Court on
6 December 2001, whereby the Republic of Nicaragua instituted proceed-

ings against the Republic of Colombia in respect of a dispute concerning
"a group of related legal issues subsisting between the Republic of
Nicaragua and the Republic of Colombia concerning title to territory
and maritime delimitation";
Whereas on 6 December 2001 a certified copy of the Application was

transmitted to the Republic of Colombia;
Whereas the Republic of Nicaragua has appointas AgentH.E. Mr.
Carlos J. Argüello Gomez; and whereas the Republic of Colombia has
appointed as Agent H.E. Mr. Julio Londoiïo Paredes;

Whereas, at a meeting held by the President of the Court with theAgents of the Parties on 20 February 2002, Nicaragua indicated that it
wished to be allowed a period of one year for the preparation of its
Memorial; whereas Colombia stated that it desired a period of 18 months

from the filing of Nicaragua's Memorial for the preparation of its
Counter-Mernorial; and whereas Nicaragua indicated that it had no
objection to the time-limit requested by Colombia.

Fi.~e.sthe following time-limits for the filing of the written pleadings:

28 April 2003 for the Memorial of the Republic of Nicaragua;

28 June 2004 for the Counter-Memorial of the Republic of Colombia;
and
Reserves the subsequent procedure for further decision.

Done in English and in French, the English text being authoritative, at
the Peace Palace, The Hague, this twenty-sixth day of February, two
thousand and two, in three copies, one of which will be placed in the
archives of the Court and the others transmitted to the Government of

the Republic of Nicaragua and the Government of the Republic of
Colombia, respectively.

Vu l'article du Statut de la Cour et les article44,145, para-
graphe 1, et8 de sori Règlement,
Vu la requêteenregistréeau Greffe de la Co6décembre2001, par

laquelle la Républiquedu Nicaragua a introduit une instance contre la
République de Colombie au sujet d'un différend concernantun en-
semble de questions juridiques interdépendantes en matière de titres
territoriaux et de délimitation maritime, demeurent en suspens
entre la Républiquedu Nicaragua et la Républiquede Colombie));
Considérant que, 6edécembre2001, une copie certifiéeconforme de
la requête a été transmise Républiquede Colombie;

Considérant que la Républiquedu Nicaragua a désignécomme agent
S. Exc. M. Carlos Argüello Gomez: et que la Républiquede Colombie a
désignécomme agent S. Exc. M. Julio Londoiio Paredes;
Considérant que, au cours d'une réunionque le Présidentde la Cour aAgents of the Parties on 20 February 2002, Nicaragua indicated that it
wished to be allowed a period of one year for the preparation of its
Memorial; whereas Colombia stated that it desired a period of 18 months

from the filing of Nicaragua's Memorial for the preparation of its
Counter-Mernorial; and whereas Nicaragua indicated that it had no

qu'il souhaitait disposer d'un délaid'un an pour préparer son mémoire;

que la Colombie a dkclaréqu'elle souhaitait disposer d'un délaide dix-
huit mois êcompter du dépôt du mémoire du Nicaragua pour préparer
son contre-mémoire; et que le Nicaragua a indiqué qu'il ne voyait pas
d'objection au délaidemandé par la Colombie,

piécesde la procédure écrite:

Pour le mémoirede la République du Nicaragua, le 28 avril 2003;
Pour le contre-mémoire de la République de Colombie, le 28 juin 2004;

Paix, à La Haye, le vingt-six févrierdeux mille deux. en trois exemplaires,
