Having regard to Article 66, paragraph 2, of the Statute of the Court,
Having regard to Articles 102,paragraph 2, and 44,paragraph 3,of the
Rules of Court,

Whereas by a decision dated 13July 1981,the Cornmittee on Applica-
tions for Review of Judgements of the Administrative Tribunal of the
United Nations requested an advisoryopinion of the Court on a question
concerning Judgement No. 273 of the Tri;unal
Whereas on 6 August 1981the President of the Court decided pursuant
to Article 66, paragraph 2, of the Statute of the Court that the United
Nations and its member States were considered as likely to be able to
furnishinformation on thequestion,and made an Order fixing30 October COUR INTERNATIONALE DE JUSTICE

Rend l'ordonnance suivaet

Considérant que, par décision du 13 juillet 1981, le Comité des
demandes de réformation de jugements du Tribunal administratif des
Nations Unies a demandéàla Cour un avis consultatif sur une question
concernant lejugementno273 de ce Tribuna;
Considérant que le 6 août 1981 le Président de la Cour a décidé,
conformément à l'article 66, paragraphe 2, du Statut de la Cour, que
l'organisation des Nations Unies et ses Etats Membres sont susceptibles
de fournir desrenseignements sur la question, et arendu une ordonnance, 53 APPLICATION FOR REVIEW (ORDER 8 X 81)

1981as the time-limit for the submission of written statements under that
Article ;
Whereas no such written statement has yet been filed ;
Whereas by aletter dated 24 September 1981,receivedin the Registry of
the Court on 5 October 1981,the Secretary-General of the United Nations

requested an extension of the time-limit for the written statement to be
filed on behalf of the United Nations, to 30 November 1981, on the
grounds that such extension is required for the preparation of the obser-
vations of the staff member in respect of whom the Judgemen? of the
Tribunal was rendered, to be incorporated in the said written statement,
pursuant to Article 11,paragraph 2, of the Statute of the Tribunal ;

Extends to 30November 1981the time-limitwithin whichwritten state-
ments may besubmitted in accordancewithArticle 66, paragraph 2,of the
Statute of the Court ;

Reserves the subsequent procedure for further decision.

Done in English and in French, the English text being authoritative, at
the Peace Palace, TheHague, this eighth day of October, one thousand
nine hundred and eighty-one.

du fonctionnaire qui a été l'objetdu jugement du Tribunal, observations

devant êtrejointes à l'exposéécritci-dessus mentionné en vertu de l'ar-
ticle 11, paragraphe 2, du statut du Tribunal ;

Reporte au 30 novembre 1981la date d'expiration du délaidans lequel
des exposésécritspourront être présentés conformément à l'article 66,
paragraphe 2, du Statut de la Cour ;
Réservela suite de la procédure.
