ORDONNANCE

Le Vice-Présidentde la Cour internationale de Justice, faisant fonction
de Présidenten vertu de l'article 13du Règlementde la Cour,

Vu l'article8 du Statut de la Cour et l'article 37 du Règlement de la
Cour,
Vu l'ordonnance du 19janvier 1972 fixant la date d'expiration des
délaispour le dépôt de la réplique du Gouvernement indien et de la
duplique du Gouvernement pakistanais,

Considérant que, par lettre du 9 mars 1972,l'agent du Gouvernement
indien a, pour les raisons par lui exposées,demandé que la date d'expi-
ration du délaipour le dépôtde la répliquesoit reportéedu 30 mars 1972
au 30 avril 1972;
Considérant que, le 9 mars 1972, copie certifiéeconforme de ladite
lettre a été communiquéeà l'agent du Gouvernement pakistanais qui a
étéinvitéà faire connaître les vues de son gouvernemeàtcet égard;
Considérant que, par lettre du 17mars 1972,l'agent du Gouvernement
pakistanais a exposéles raisons pour lesquelles il s'opposaitpro-

ORDER

The Vice-President of the International Court of Justice, Acting Presi-
dent under Articl13 of the Rules of Court,

Having regard to Article8 of the Statute of the Court and to Article
37 of the Rules of Court,
Having regard to the Order of 19 January 1972 fixing the tinie-liniits
for the filing of the Reply of the Government of India and the Rejoinder
of the Government of Pakistan,

Whereas, by a letter dated9 March 1972,the Agent for the Government
of India, for the reasons therein set out, requested the extension of the
time-limit forthe filing of the Reply from 30 Marc111972to 30 April 1972;

Whereas, on 9 March 1972,a certified true copy of the aforementioned

letter was transmitted to the Agent for the Government of Pakistan who
was asked to make known the wishes of that Government on the request;
Whereas, in aletter dated 17 March 1972, the Agent for the Govern-
ment of Pakistan set out the reasons why he opposed the granting of an
extension of the time-limit; Reporte au 17 avril 1972 la date d'expiration du délai pour le dépôt

Fait en français et en anglais, le texte français faisant foi, au palais de la
Paix, à La Haye, le vingt mars mil neuf cent soixante-douze, en trois exem-

plaires, dont l'un restera déposé auxarchives de la Cour et dont les autres
seront transmis respectivement au Gouvernement indien et au Gouverne-
ment pakistanais.

Extends to 17 April 1972 the time-limit for the filing of the Reply
of th: Government of India and consequently to 16 May 1972 the time-
liinit for the filing of the Rejoinder of the Government of Pakistan.

Done in French and in English, the French text being authoritative,
at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this twentieth day of March. one thou-

sand nine hundred and seventy-two, in three copies, one of wliich will be
placed in the archives of the Court and the others transmitted to the
Government of India and to the Government of Pakistan, respectively.
