ORDER
Present: President KLAESTA;D Vice-President ZAFRULLAKHA;
Judges BASDEVANT H, ACKWORTH W, INIARSKI,BADAWI,
ARMAND-UGON,KOJEVNIKOV,MORENO QUINTANA,
CORDOVAW , ELLINGTON KOO, SPIROPOULOS S,ir Percy

The International Court of Justice,
composed asabove,
after deliberation,
having regard to Arti48eof the Statute of the Court and to
Articl37 of the Rules of Court,
Makes thefollowing Order:
Having regard to the Order gSeptember 1959,fixing No-
vember 1959 as the time-limit for the filing of the Observations
and Submissions of the Government of the United States of America
with regard to the Preliminary Objections raised by the Govern-
ment of the People's Republic of Bulgaria; Whereas, by a letter of 30 September 1959, the Agent of the
Govemment of the United States of America requested that this
time-limit be extended to g February 1960;
Whereas, by a letter of 6 October 1959, the letter of the Agent
of the Govemment of the United States of America was communi-
cated to the Agent of the Government of the People's Republic of
Bulgaria, who was asked to make known the views of that Govem-
ment on the request of the Agent of the Government of the United
States of America;
Whereas, by a telegram of 15 October 1959, the Agent of the
Govemment of the People's Republic of Bulgaria stated that his
Government had no objection to this request;
decides to extend to g February 1960 the time-limit for the filing
of the Observations and Submissions of the Government of the
United States of America with regard to the Prelirninary Objections
raised by the Govemment of the People's Republic of Bulgaria.
Done in English and in French, the English text being authori-
tative, at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this twenty-third day
of October, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-nine, in three
copies, one of which will be placed in the archives of the Court
and the others transmitted to the Government of the United
States of America and to the Government of the People's Republic
of Bulgaria, respectively.

Gouvernement des États-unis d'Amérique a demandé quece délai
fût prorogéau g février1960;
Considérant que, par lettre du 6 octobre 1959,la lettre de l'agent
du Gouvernement des États-unis d'Amériquea étécommuniquée
à l'agent du Gouvernement de la République populaire de Bulgarie,
lequel a étéinvità faire connaître les vues de son Gouvernement
sur la demande ainsi présentée au nom du Gouvernement des
États-unis d'Amérique;
Considérant que, par télégrammedu 15 octobre 1959, l'agent du
Gouvernement de la République populaire de Bulgarie a fait savoir
que son Gouvernement ne faisait pas d'objection à cette demande;
décidede reporter au g février1960 la date d'expiration du délai
pour le dépôt des observations et conclusions du Gouvernement des
États-unis d'Amérique sur les exceptions préliminaires soulevées
par le Gouvernement de la République populaire de Bulgarie.
Fait en anglais et en français, le texte anglais faisant foi, au
Palais de la Paix, à La Haye, le vingt-trois octobre mil neuf cent
cinquante-neuf, en trois exemplaires, dont l'un restera déposéaux
archives de la Cour et dont les autres seront transmis respective-
ment au Gouvernement des États-unis d'Amériqueet au Gouver-
nement de la République populaire de Bulgarie.
