Le Président de la Cour internationale de Justice en l'affaire
du Détroit de Corfou,

Vu l'article8 du Statut de la Cour,

Vu les articles37 et38 du Règlement de la Cour,
Vu l'ordonnance rendue par la Cour lg avril 1949en l'affaire
du Détroit de Corfou aux fins d'instituer une procédure pour la
fixation du montant des réparations dues par la République
populaire d'Albanie au Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne et
d'Irlande du Nord,

Considérant que, par dépêchetélégraphique endate de Tirana,
le23 juin1949,le ministre adjoint aux Affaires étrangères d'Albanie
a sollicité la prorogation a~erjuillet1949 du délai afférenà
la présentation des observations albanaises sur le montant réclamé
par le Royaume-Uni, délai qui, par l'ordonnance dg avril1949,
avait été fixéau 25 juin 1949;

Considérant que rien ne s'oppose à ce qu'il soit fait droit à
la demande du Gouvernement albanais,

The Acting President of the International Court of instice
the Corfu Channel case,

Having regard to Article 48 of the Statute of the Court,

Having regard to Articles 37 and 38 of the Rules of Court,
Having regard to the Order of the Court of April gth, 1949,
in the Corfu Channel case, regulating the procedure for the asses-
ment of the amount of compensation due from the People's
Republic of Albania to the United Kingdom of Great Britain
and Northern Ireland,

Whereas by telegram dated Tirana, June 23rd, 1949,the Deputy
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Albania has asked for the extension,
to July~st, 1949, of the time-limit for the presentation, by the
Government of the People's Republic of Albania, of its observa-
tions on theamount demanded from it by the United Kingdom,
time-limit which the Order of April gth, 1949, fixed as June 25th,
1949 ;
Whereas there is no reason for refusing the request of the
Albanian Government,

Décide
De proroger aux dates suivantes les délaisfixéspar l'ordonnance
de la Cour en date du g avril 1949 :

vendredi xer juillet 1949, pour la présentation par le Gouver-
nement de l'Albanie de ses observationssur le montant lui réclamé

lundi 1e.1août 1949, pour la réponse du Gouvernement du
Royaume-Uni ;
jeudi xerseptembre 1949, pour la réplique du Gouvernement
de l'Albanie.

Fait en français et en anglais, le texte français faisant foi, au
Palais de la Paix, à La Haye, le vingt-quatre juin mil neuf cent
quarante-neuf, en trois exemplaires, dont l'unrestera déposéaux
archives de la Cour et dont les autres seront respectivement
transmis au Gouvernement du Royaume-Uni de Grande-Bretagne
et d'Irlande du Nord et au Gouvernement de la République
populaire d'Albanie.

Decides

To extend the time-limits fixed by the Order of the Court of
April gth, 1949, to the following dates :
Friday, July ~st, 1949, for the submission by the Govemment
of the People's Republic of Albania of its observations on the
amount demanded from it ;

Monday, August rst, 1949, for the reply of the Government
of the United Kingdom ;
Thursday, September xst, 1949,for the reply of the Government
of the People's Republic of Albania.

Done in French and in English, the French text being authori-
tative, at the Peace Palace, The Hague, this twenty-fourth day
of June, one thousand nine hundred and forty-nine, in three
copies, one of which will be placed in the archives of the Court,
and the others transmitted to the Govemment of the United
Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and to the
Government of the People's Republic of Albania respectively.
