Fixing of time-limits for the filing of the initial pleadings

THE HAGUE, 17 September 2010. The International Court of Justice (ICJ)
, the principal
judicial organ of the United Nations, has fixed tim e-limits for the filing of the initial pleadings in

the case concerning the Frontier Dispute (Burkina Faso/Niger).

By an Order of 14September2010, the Cour t fixed 20April2011 and 20January2012,
respectively, as the time-limits for the filing of a Memorial and a Counter-Memorial by each Party.

The Court made the Order taking into account th e agreement of the Parties. The subsequent

procedure has been reserved for further decision.
