Solemn declarationby the judges ad hoc

THE HAGUE, 16 February 1999. On Wednesday 17 February 1999, at 9.45 a.m.,
the International Court of Justice will begin by holding a short sitting in the above-mentioned case
during which Prince Bola Adesumbo Ajibola, the judge ad hoc chosen by Nigeria, and
Mr. KébaMbaye, thejudge ad hoc chosen by Cameroon, will make the solemn declaration provided
for in Article 20 of the Statute of the Court.

After a short break the hearingsin the case concerning Kasikili/SeduduIsland
(Botswana/Namibia) announcedin Press Communiqué No. 99/2 will resume.
