By a joint letterdated 13 August 1987, the Agents of Honduras and
Nicaraguahave transmitted to the Presidentof the International Courtof
Justicethe text, in the originalSpanish, of an agreementsigned on 7
August 1987by the Presidentof the Republic of Hondurasand the
S'residentof the Republicof Nicaragua, in which they requestthe
postponementof the openingof oral proceedings Ln the case soncerning
Border and Trangborderkmed Actions"(Nicaragu a.
Honduras)and in wtiich
ia stated the following:

".. this judlciaiaftuationis to be reviewed by them on the
occasionof the Meeting of Central-AmericaP nresidents to be held in
one hundredand fffty days' time, according to the undertaking laid
down in that plan,with a view to reaching agreement on a
discontinuancc of internationaljudicialproceedings on the
