The following iilformation is communicated to the press by the
Registry of the International Court of Justice:

In the case concerning Maritime Delimitation in the area between
Greenland and Jan Mayen (Denrnark v. ~orway), brought before the Court by
the Government of Denmark on 16 August 1988, the Court has, by an Order

of 14 October 1988, fixed the following time-limits for the written
proceedings :

- 1 August 1989 for the Mernorial of the Kingdom of Denmark;

- 15 May 1990 for the Counter-Mernorial of the Kingdom of Norway.

The subsequent procedure is reserved for further decision.
