The following information 3s communlcated to the press by the
Regi stry of the Internati onal Court of Justice :

By an Order dated 21 July 1987, the Vice-President of the Court,
in the absence of the Presldent, bas extended to 10 August 1987 the
time-limit for the filing of a Memorial by Njcaragua and to 2 June 1988

the time-limit for the filing of the Counter-Memorial by Costa Rica.

The Order was ma.de in response to a request by Nicaragua and after
the views of Costa Rjca had been ascertained.
