Upper Volta and Mali bring a case
before the Court

The following information is made available to the press by the
Registry of the International Court of Justice:

Ort 14 October 1983, the Government of the Republic of Upper Volta.
and the Government of the Republic of Mali notified ta the Registry
by a joint letter a Special Agreement concluded by them on
16 Sept.ember 1983 which. entered into force on that day. The Special
Agreement submits ta a Chamber of. the Court the question of the
delimitation of a part of the .land frontier between the t.wo States .
