Closure of hearing

At public sittings held on 3, 4, 5, 9, 10 and 11 May 1984, the

Chamber formed by the Court to deal with the case concerning Delimitation
of the Maritime Boundary in the Gulf of Maine Area between Canada and
the United States heard the second round of argument of the Parties,

The f ollowing addressed the Court:

On behalf of Canada: Mr. L. Legault, Agent of Canada; Messrs. P. Weil
and G. Jaenicke, Counsel; Mr. B. Hankey, Deputy-Agent of Canada;
Messrs. W. Binnie, Do Bowett, Y. Fortier and A, Malintoppi, Counsel;

On behalf of the United States: Mr. Do R, Robinson, Agent of the
United States; Mr. R. Lancaster, Counsel; Mr, B. Rashkow, Special Counsel;
Messrs. M. Feldman, JO Stevenson, S. Riesenfeld, Counsel; Mr. D. Colson,
Deputy-Agent of the United States.

Each Agent read the final submissions of his Government at the end
of the last hearing devoted to the presentation of his argument.

The oral proceedings s tarted on 2 April 1984, and the first round

of argument took place between 2 and 19 April 1984,

The Chamber will now deliberate in private.

The date at which it will deliver its decision will be announced

in due course.
