&pointment of Agents by Nicaragua and the
United States of America

The following information is made available to the Press by the

Registry of the International Court of Justice:

In the proceedings instituted by Nicaragua against the United States
of America on 9 April 1984, the two States concerned have each appointed
Agents before the International Court of Justice.

Nicaragua has appointed Mr. Carlos Argue110 Gomez, the Ambassador of
Nicararagua to the Netherlands; the United States has appointed
Mr. Davis R. Robinson, the Legal Adviser of the Department of State.
