The following informationis communicated ta the Press by the
Registry of the InternationalCourt.of Justice:

The Court willhold a closed meeting on Wednesday, 27 January 1971
at 10 a.m. to hear the representativesof South Africa on the question

of the entitlementof South Africa to choose a judge ad hoc
(Article 31 of the Statute).

Neither the publicnor representatives of the Press will be
admitted to this meeting (Articlelt6of the Statute).
