Court of Justice is comunicated to the Press:
In the course of 34 sittings from Wednesday, 1 April, to
Thursday, 23 April 1964, on the Preliminary Objections in the case
concerning the Barcelona Traction, Light 'uid Power Company Limited
(~ew Application: 1962) (~elgium v. spain), the Court heard
M. Roberto kgo and M. Antonio l,ial=<toppi in their presentation of
the case on behalf of the Spanish Governnent, after which the Agent
for the Spmish Goverment, ni. Juan M. Castro Rial, nlade a short
s tatement.
The Court then heard 11. Yves Devndder, Agent, and M. Iienri Rolin,
K. Jean Van Ryn, Id. Ange10 Sereni, Mne. Suzanne Ijastid, Mr. Elihü
Lauterpacht, M. George; Sauser-Hall and M. Henri Rolin, Counsel, in
their presentation of the case on behalf of the Belgian Governnent,
after which 11.Yves Devadder, the Agent for the Belgi,~ Goveri~~ent,
stated that the Subnissions of his Goverment ~ould be filed with the
Regis try .
The next hearing rrill be held on Monday, 27 April at 10.30 a.m.
when the Agent and Counsel for the Spanish Governnent will be heculd
in the oral reply.

la Bzrcelonz Traction, Light and Power Conipan;~, Ltd (nouvelle
requete : 1962) (~el~ique c. Espagne), la Cour a entendu 11IIvR.oberto Ago
et Antonio Malintoppi plaider au non du Gouvernement espagnol, et
M. Juan BI. Castro Rial, agent du Gouvernement espagnol, faire une
brève déclaration.
La Cour a entendu ensuite M. Yves Devadder, agent, et
&M. Henri Rolin, Jean Van Ryn, Ange10 Sereni, &?meSuzanne Bastid,
ID1. Elihu Lauterpacht, Georges Sauser-Hel1 et fienri Rolin, conseils,
plaider au nom du Gouvernement belge, après quoi DI. Yves Devadder,
agent du Gouvernenient belge, a déclard que les conclusions de son
Gouvernement seraient déposees au Greffe.
La prochaine audience de la Cour s'ouvrira le lundi 27 avril
à 10 h 30 pour la réplique orale de l'agent et des conseils du
Gouvernement espagnol.
