Interhandel (Switzerland v. United States of America) - Hearings of November 5th, 1958

The following information from the Heglstry of the Inter-
national Court of Justice has been communicated to the Press:

To-day, Movember 5th, 1958, the International Court of
Justice held two public hearbgs in the Interbande Clase
(~reliminar~ Objections) between Switzerlad and United Sktes
or" hrica.

At the opcning of the hearing, the President of the Court
paid tribute ta the late Judge Jo's4Gust3vo Guerrero. The text
of this address is set out in the VerbatimReport of the Hearing,

The President then called upon the Honorable Loftus Becker,
Agent for the,Goverment rif the United States of America, to state
the vlews of his Gcmernmerit.
