The following information, issued by the Registry of.the
International Court of Justice, has been com.rnunicated to the Press:
On March 29th, 1950 t1e International Court of Justice made an
Order by which it removed from its List the proceedings instituted by
the French Government against the Egyptian Government concerning the
protection of French'nationals and protected persans in Egypt.
The French Government had informed the Court that it was
discontinuing its proceedings as the nreasures takeri against the persans,
property, rights and interests of French nationals and protected persona
had been lilthdrawn by the Egyptian Governm~n to, that the dispute was
virtually settled.
