Vu l'article 48 du Statutde la Cour et lesarticles 3t 48 de son
Règlement,
Vu la requête enregistréeau Greffe de la Cour le 23 juin 1999, par
laquelle la République démocratiquedu Congo a introduit une instance
contre la Républiquede l'Ouganda au sujet d'un différend àe«desf
actes d'agression armée perpétréspar l'Ouganda sur le territoire de la
République démocratique du Congo en violation flagrante de la Charte
des Nations Unies et de la Charte de l'Organisation de l'unitéafricaine));

Considérant que, le 23 juin 1999, une copie certifiéeconforme de la
requête a été transmiàla République del'Ouganda;
Considérant que la République démocratique du Congo a désigné
comme agent Me Michel Lion, avocat au barreau de Bruxelles; et que la INTERIVATIONAL COURT OF JUSTICE

The International Court of Justice,
Composed as above,

Having regard to Article 48 of the Statute of the Court and to
Articles 31, 44, and 48 of the Rules of Court,
Having regard to the Application filed in the Registry of the Court on
23 June 1999,whereby the Democratic Republic of the Congo instituted
proceedings against the Republic of Uganda in respect of a dispute
cerning "acts armeriaggressionperpetrated by Uganda on the territory
of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in flagrant violation of the
United Nations Charter and of the Charter of the Organization of
African Unity";

Whereas, on 23 Ju~ne1999, a certified copy of the Application was
transmitted to the Republic of Uganda;
Whereas the Democratic Republic of the Congo has appointed as
Agent Maître Michel Lion, advocate at thessels Bar; and the Repub-République de l'Ouganda a désignécomme agent l'honorable Bart
M. Katureebe S.C., Attorney Generol de l'Ouganda, et comme coagent
S. Exc. M. Katima Ntambi, ambassadeur de l'Ouganda aux Pays-Bas;

Compte tenu de l'accord des Parties, tel qu'exprimépar leurs agents au
cours d'une réunionque le présidentde la Cour a tenue avec ceux-ci le
19 octobre 1999,

Fixe comme suit les dates d'expiration des délaispour le dépôtde ces
pièces:
Pour lemémoirede la Républiquedémocratiquedu Congo, le 21juillet
2000 ;

Pour le contre-mémoire de la République de l'Ouganda, le 21 avril
200 1;

Rkservr la suite de la procédure.

Fait en français et en anglais, le texte français faisant foi, au Palais de
la Paix,à La Haye, le vingt et un octobre mil neuf cent quatre-vingt-dix-
neuf, en trois exemplaires, dont l'un restera déposéaux archives de la
Cour et les autres seront transmis respectivement au Gouvernement de la
République démocratiquedu Congo et au Gouvernement de la Répu-
blique de I'Ouganda.
