Certain Phosphate Lands in Nauru

(Nauru v. Australia)

The following information is communicated to the Press by the
Registry of the International Court of Justice:

In the case concerning Certain Phosphate Lands in Nauru

(Nauru v. Australia), brought before the Court by the Government of Nauru
on 19 May 1989, the Court has, by an Order of 18 July 1989, fixed the
following time-limits for the written proceedings:

- 20 April 1990 for the Memorial of the Republic of Nauru;

- 21 January 1991 for the Counter-Memorial of the Commonwealth of
Australia.

The subsequent procedure is reserved for further decision.
