nationale de Justice,
ont étémis à la disposition de la presse :

A la demande du Gouvernement norvégien - demande motivée par des
circonstances Imprévue s la Gour internationale de Justice vient de
- décider de remettre l'examen de l'affaire relative à cerbains e~npnunts
norvégiens.

Cette affaire, introdu-ite lar le Gouvernemen ftançais, avait
fait liobjet diexceptions préliminaire de la part du Gouvernement
norvegien, La Cour avait accordeau Gouvernemenf trançaisun delai
expirant le 4 juin 1956 pour le dépôt de ses observations sur les ex- ,
ceptions norvégienne et avait fait savoir aux Parbies qulelle avait
1'intention diouvrir la procédure orale sur ces exceptions à la fin
du m&me mois, Le rerivoi de llouver~ür ee la procédure orale a amen6
la Cour à rendre une ordonnance reportant au 31 aoflt1956 la date
diexpiration du délai pour le dép8t des observations f~ançaises.

L'affaire sera alors en Iietat pour les exceptions. La Cour en
délibérera après L'affaire consultativ relative aux jugements rendus
par le Tribunal administrati de IlOrganisatio nternationaledu Tra-
vail sur requetes contre l'UN3SC0, laquelle sera traitee par la Cour
à paAir du début du mois de septmbre prochain.

The following information from the Registry of the International
Court of Justice has been commdcated to thePress:

At the request of the Norwsgk Governent - a request based upon
unforeseen clreumstance -sthe International Cowt of Justice has just
decided to postpone the examination of the case of Certain Norwegian
Loans,

This case, whieh was brought by the French Goverment, has given
rise to PrelMnary Objections by the Norwegian Covemment. The Court
had Îixed a time-lhit expiring on June bth, 1956 for the presentation
by the French Goverment of a written statement 05 its obçsrvation snd
submissions in regard to the Preliminary Objectionsraised by EIorway
and had inforrned the Parties that it was the Court's int sntion to open
the oral hearings on the Objections at the end of that same month.
The poçtponemrsnt of the opening of the oral proceedings led the Court
to make aw! Order extend- ta August jlst, 1956 the the-lunit for the
filing of the French Observations-anS dubmissions.

As regards the Prelimlnary Objections, the case will then be seady
for hcaring. The Court wlll consider it after it has givonita
Advisory Opinion in the matter of the Judgments of the Administrative
Tribunal of the Int ernzitionalLabour Organisation upon Cornplaints
made againçt the United Nations Educational, Scientific and edtural
Organization, v~hichwill be emmined by the Court at the beginning of
the month of September.
